Ah baseball. It's that time of year again when the "boys of summer" take to the diamond and play America's greatest outdoor sport. This outdoor sport is as American as apple pie and most people have swung a bat at a baseball or softball at some point in their life. I grew up playing baseball and it has always been my favorite outdoor sport to watch and play. 

Even though my MLB team has had a losing season for the last sixteen years I still am a loyal fan and watch as many games as possible. and this year they are actually winning more games than they are losing! I'm thrilled. The outdoor sport of baseball has become popular world wide with many MLB players coming from Japan and a couple other nations. Kids play the game dreaming of growing up and playing in the "big leagues" and I was no different but the players are many and the available positions are few so most of us end up remembering the old days when we played and now watch this great outdoor sport on tv.
