outdoor sport

I have some fond memories of playing an outdoor sport with my step father when I was younger.  He taught me how to throw a football!  At the age of eleven I'll bet I was the only girl at my school that could spiral a football 20 foot in the air for a distance of 30 ft.

When you think of an outdoor sport you think of teams, but you don't have to have teams to play football catch or throw a soft ball back and forth.  These are an outdoor sport that you can play with two or more people.  In fact, when I was a child I would play an outdoor sport by myself; I would take a big red rubber ball and toss it against the wall, let it hit the ground, then hit it up against the wall again!  I had more fun playing that type of outdoor sport!

Today's children would rather be pinned up in their rooms with their video games.  Meanwhile, their muscles turn to mush!

Take the time to challenge your child to an outdoor sport that you can both enjoy!  Teach them to throw a football or toss some horse shoes.  You'll never regret making those kinds of memories with your child!
